NoHo

Manhattan (Downtown)

Overview

NoHo apartments are some of the most highly coveted places to live in New York City. NoHo is the southwestern portion of the East Village, which runs from Broadway to Bowery and from Houston up to Astor Place. The area is marked by quality restaurants, trendy boutique shops and high-priced residences. Though small, the neighborhood exudes a certain chic atmosphere that is highly coveted by many city dwellers. NoHo is marked by expansive loft apartments and walk up buildings with plenty of character. Real estate prices are therefore on the more expensive side, with some lofts on Bond Street reaching into the tens of millions of dollars. The resident population trends toward an older and wealthy, yet liberal demographic, but due to its proximity to NYU and the rest of the Village, students and young professionals can be spotted in the vicinity. Things to do in this great neighborhood are certainly not lacking. Astor Center, a wine, spirits and food mecca, holds regular classes and events for everything from tastings to cooking and mixology lessons to private gatherings. The Bowery Hotel has become a favorite of many to grab a drink, either inside the lobby lounge or outside on the charming back patio. Food and shopping options certainly do not disappoint with some of the most popular spots in the city located within just a few blocks of each other.
