Is there a standard lease that is used for rental apartments?

There are a few forms of a lease that are generally used by many of the management companies / landlords in NYC, including the REBNY lease, Blumberg lease and leases from companies like On-Site that many real estate agents use.  These leases are relatively “standard” in nature due to their wide use and may include additional sections required by NY State law, such as lead paint and window child guard forms.  However, not all mgmt cos / landlords use the same leases and each situation may be different.

Some mgmt cos / landlords include custom riders or addendums to their leases to address requirements and policies specific to their buildings and apartments.
