Who should I contact if there are issues with a rental apartment after I move in?

If you find problems with an apartment when moving in, you can speak with the super or property manager to address them.  For rental apartments, the management company / landlord should generally cover any repairs, re-painting needs and extermination issues that may exist at the time of move-in.  Make sure to bring any problems to the appropriate individual’s attention immediately, so that it is understood upon or close to move-in (instead of several weeks later).  If you do not receive a response or no action is taken in a timely manner, contact the mgmt co / landlord directly.
