If I need help installing, painting or putting something together, is there someone in my new building I can ask for help?
If there is a super, maintenance staff or handyman on the premises, you can ask them to help you with certain tasks. This is obviously extra work for them and not necessarily their responsibility, so offering them payment and/or a nice tip based on the amount of time necessary may work for both of you. Common requests can be installing shelves or blinds, building furniture, painting a room or carrying heavy items.
If a certain project requires more time or specific knowledge, you may have to contact a local specialist to help, such as a locksmith, glass repairman or electrician.
