After I’m approved and sign leases for my new apartment rental, what should I do to prepare for my move-in?

After you complete the approval and lease signing process for an apartment rental, there are a number of important tasks to take care of immediately, since timing can depend on other factors that are sometimes out of your control, including access to elevators for move-in/out, and moving company and utilities set-up availability.  The sooner you start to take care of and schedule the following items, the better position you’ll be in to have everything line up as you prefer:

Schedule Move-Out & Move-In
Get contact info for new building to schedule move-in
Schedule move-in, including reserving freight elevator or other elevator (if applicable)
Schedule move-out, including reserving freight elevator or other elevator (if applicable)

Schedule Movers or Reserve Truck For DIY
